Desktop app

Quickstart

Install the Mac app and connect your account.

1. Install

The app runs on a Mac with Apple silicon. Paste this in Terminal. It downloads the app, checks it, puts BoltzLabs in Applications and opens it.

Terminal shell
curl -fsSL https://boltzlabs.cloud/desktop/install.sh | sh

Use this command rather than downloading the app in a browser: macOS blocks a copy downloaded that way.

2. Sign in

Create an API key in your dashboard. Paste it into the app and press Sign in.

The app and the CLI share one sign-in. If you already ran boltz auth, the app opens signed in. Signing out of the app also signs out the CLI.

3. Find your way

The bar on the left picks a product: Sandboxes, Exec, RL pools and Evals. The sidebar next to it shows what is inside. API keys, billing and settings are under Account at the bottom of the bar.

  • Sandboxes: create one, open a terminal, move files, forward ports.
  • Run code: run a snippet or a file without a sandbox.

Updates

The app updates itself. Open Account → Settings → Updates to install a new version.
